Moving to the cloud should make work simpler: files that are available from any approved device, email that does not depend on a server in a closet, and backups that live somewhere other than your building. Done carelessly, it can also scatter sensitive data across personal accounts and shared links. We help you get the benefits without losing track of where your information is.
For healthcare and senior living organizations we configure cloud services with HIPAA in mind: business-tier plans that offer a BAA, MFA, sharing limits, and retention settings that match your policies.
Offices still running an aging on-site file or email server. Organizations whose files live in a mix of personal Dropbox, Google and OneDrive accounts. Multi-site operators who want staff at every location working from the same files and systems.
We inventory what you have, agree on the target layout and permissions, and run a small pilot with a few users first. The main move is scheduled after hours or over a weekend, and staff get short, practical instructions for the first day. Old systems are kept read-only for a period before they are retired, so nothing is lost if a file turns up missing.
The cloud makes sharing easy, which is both its strength and its risk. We set default sharing so files stay inside your organization unless someone deliberately shares them, and we review external shares and guest accounts periodically. Shared mailboxes and shared drives are used for departments instead of passing one login around, so every action can be traced to a person.
Devices matter as much as accounts. We can require that only managed, up-to-date computers and phones reach company data, and we can remove company data from a lost phone without touching personal photos. When an employee leaves, their mailbox and files are kept for the period your policies require and handed to the right supervisor.
Migrations are quoted as a one-time project based on the number of users and the amount of data. Ongoing management of cloud accounts and backups is included in our flat monthly managed IT agreements. Software licenses are billed at the publisher's pricing for the plan you choose.
Is Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace HIPAA compliant?
Both offer business plans for which the provider will sign a BAA, but compliance depends on how they are configured and used. We set up the controls; your policies and training cover the rest.
Don't Microsoft and Google already back up our data?
They keep their services running, but they are not designed to restore a file a user deleted months ago or roll back after ransomware syncs encrypted files. A separate backup covers those cases.
Can we keep some systems on site?
Yes. Some software, scanners and medical equipment work best locally. A hybrid setup with secure remote access is common and perfectly reasonable.
Will staff need training?
Usually only a little. We provide short instructions for the changes that affect them, such as signing in with MFA and where shared files now live, and the helpdesk handles questions after the move.
